Hi, I’m David
I’ve spent my life serving others, much of it in Eastern Washington. I was the Medical Group Commander at Fairchild Air Force Base when I was a colonel in the Air Force. There I was responsible for the lives of 30,000 active duty and retired personnel and their families. In my encore career I ran a rural hospital in Colfax. Following that I served as Senior VP for Kaiser Permanente, where I led a team that provided healthcare for 115,000 members, and was responsible for their $700M budget. While at Kaiser, I also served as Chairman of a county Economic Development Corporation, where we brought 4,000 new jobs to our community.
When my wife Julie and I moved to Walla Walla I put my experience to work as the President of the Board of the Alliance for the Homeless, where we expanded the shelter, created transitional housing, and delivered a ‘Ready-to-Rent’ class for our residents. I’ve also served on the city’s Sustainability Committee, my church council, and I am an active member of Rotary. I am now called to serve Eastern Washington in Congress. We need a leader who will work toward a better future for our communities. I have the coalition building background that can get the constituents in our district motivated to vote.
I’m talking with:
Farmers about tariffs
Veterans about their concerns
Families looking for housing where they work
Healthcare professionals in hospitals facing closure
Neighbors losing their ability to access and afford health insurance
Working families who want affordable child and elder care
I swore an oath to the Constitution that I reaffirm every day. Leadership means showing up, being truthful, and taking responsibility. Lives are at stake. My founding principles are integrity, service, and excellence.
I believe I am the right choice to represent Eastern Washington.
